Control Drive Europe

In Sweden alone there are approximately 27,000 pumps which together make up a very large share of energy consumption.

Few of these pumps are speed-regulated despite the fact that efficient speed regulation can reduce energy consumption by one third. This is because, among other things, today's control technology often involves interference to the electricity network, space-requiring installations and costly maintenance.

With Controlled Drive Europas ABCD regulator, disadvantages such as these can be avoided. The development started as early as the middle of the 1980s but commercialisation during the 1990s failed, despite a technology that worked. Now it is time for the original technology to be improved and further developed.

"Generally speaking, the pumps operate at only one speed which is too high, irrespective of resistance. This means that more energy than necessary is consumed. By regulating the speed, there is a considerable potential for energy savings."
