Electricity bills and network charges

Do you think that your electricity bill is difficult to understand? Have you considered changing your electricity supplier? What is the difference between an electricity supplier and the network company?

The Energy Markets Inspectorate works on matters that concern your contacts with electricity suppliers and network companies, and your ability to act on the electricity market, for instance. By comparing the prices and other terms of different electricity companies and making an active choice of electricity supplier, you can often end up with a much better price of electricity. You can compare electricity prices on the buyer's guide for electricity prices published by the Energy Markets Inspectorate.

The Inspectorate also supervises the network prices of the electricity network companies and their obligations concerning metering, reporting and supplier changes. They work on electricity quality and dependability of supply in natural gas and electricity networks, so that the conditions for domestic customers, small and medium-sized companies on the electricity market will be good.

For further information concerning your relations with electricity suppliers and electricity network companies, and the work of energy markets and the inspectorate, visit The Energy Markets Inspectorate.
