Documentation from the SET Plan Conference
The SET Plan Conference 2009 in Stockholm attracted nearly 400 participants from all the member states.
The conference’s objective was to further the Strategic Energy Technology (SET-) plan strategies and activities and, of course, to be an important networking event. Another essential topic was the financing of the SET-plan, which was discussed in a moderated panel.
It was inaugurated by the Swedish minister of Energy, Ms Maud Olofsson, the Commisioner for Energy, Mr Andris Piebalgs, and the Commissioner of Research, Mr Janez Potocnik.
Conclusions
The important technologies and industrial initiatives that the SET-Plan promotes was discussed in eight parallel sessions: bioenergy, carbon capture and storage (CCS), concentrated solar power (CSP), energy efficiency, nuclear energy, photovoltaics, smart grids and wind power. The work in each session was ambitious. The results and conclusions from these sessions were presented by rapporteurs from each session and you download the pdf:s to the right.
