Vehiconomics

Vehiconomics AB develops and markets energy-efficient vehicles. The business concept is based upon a platform for rational design, development and production of a very light, strong and energy-efficient vehicle.

The vehicle that Vehiconomics will produce is called the Smite.

The target market for the Smite is defined as being ”urban and semi-urban transport for up to two persons with a driving distance that is shorter than 40 km one-way”. This means that the vehicle covers a specific area of need for transport that is served at present by transport solutions that are not optimised for the area. The Smite saves energy and provides both financial as well as environmental benefits.

The founders of Vehiconomics consist of Håkan Lutz, Andreas Broryd and Sohrab Kazemahvazi. Andreas and Håkan have conducted a number of projects together in the consulting and business development company of Broryd & Lutz AB. Their competencies are in financing, organisation, technology and marketing are extremely good. Sohrab has a background as a researcher at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has experience in project management of complex vehicles as well as the design of new, light and strong materials.

"The market for vehicles from Vehiconomics is large since it covers the greatest part of all commuting traffic in the large cities and urban areas of the world, where at the same time a high growth potential exists. These markets are being driven by many different forces such as urbanisation and increasing prosperity, where travel is going from, for example, bicycles to motor-driven vehicles and where high fuel costs are leading to a transition from large vehicles to smaller ones."
