Latest research on wind power by international experts at CWE 2013

February 5th to 7th, the Conference on Wind power and Environmental impacts, CWE2013, takes place in Stockholm. The aim of the Conference is to gather expertise and stakeholders to share experiences on the environmental impacts of wind power.

Five international keynote speakers will be participating at the conference sharing their knowledge and experience in the field of wind power.

  • Prof. Dr. Johann Köppel, Technical University of Berlin, Germany
    Title of presentation: Cautious but committed – towards a more adaptive environmental planning approach for wind energy?
  • Dr. Maarten Wolsink, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands
    Title of presentation: A further elaboration of social acceptance of renewables’ innovation
  • Dr. Eja Pedersen, Lund university, Sweden
    Title of presentation: Wind turbine noise – a technical, medical and political issue
  • Dr. Dale Strickland, WEST Inc, USA
    Title of presentation: A guide to the study of the impacts of wind power on wildlife
  • Dr. Jacob Tougaard, Århus University, Denmark
    Title of presentation: Offshore wind farms and the marine environment- lessons from the Danish demonstration project and elsewhere

The conference is in English and is arranged by Vindval, a research programme and a collaboration between the Swedish Envirionmental Protection Agency and the Swedish Energy Agency.
