The fact sheet "Biogas in Sweden" describes the production and use of biogas in Sweden.
There are 229 plants that produce biogas and 36 procent of the biogas is upgraded to vehicle fuel. Biogas production and utilization, e.g. production of heat, electrical power and vehicle fuel, can function as island solution for waste to energy concepts in cities without gas infrastructure.
