Absolicon Solar Concentrator AB

Absolicon Solar Concentrator AB has developed a solar collector which, as a result of its elegant construction, produces both electricity and heat with a high degree of efficiency and a low production cost.

Absolicon’s market includes commercial properties which have a great need for hot water or air conditioning and desalination with the help of solar power.

The company has its head office in Härnösand and is managed by the franchise holder Joakim Byström who has considerable experience as an entrepreneur and of the solar energy industry.

The company is owned by its founders and Exoro Capital AB.

By breaking with industry logic and by concentrating on product development and research, the company will be able to achieve a “time monopoly”. This is used by Absolicon partly to sell their own products and partly to create a global system for the manufacture of licences.

In many countries, there are heavy subsidies for solar cells which contribute to profitability for the customer. With the product Solar8, production costs can be reduced to €1/Wp.

In this way, competition with fossil fuels can be met without subsidies in areas where there is a lot of sun.

The solar energy industry has a turnover of SEK 100 billion and is growing by 40 % per year.

"Absolicon’s product Solar8 can, in combination with new industry logic, create its own niche within a multi-billion euro industry. Solar8 is price-competitive compared to conventional solar cells and produces greater efficiencies compared to solar collectors used during winter periods."
