About the Tool
The energy system is complex and consists of many interconnected components. The Swedish Energy Agency has long-standing experience and broad expertise in this area.
To make the energy system easier to understand, we have developed the Sweden’s Energy System – An Overview. It uses official energy statistics and the short-term forecast to explain and illustrate how the energy system in Sweden is structured and how it functions.
Please note: some parts of the content are currently only available in Swedish. An English version is under development.
