Information and cybersecurity

Networks and information systems play a vital role in our society. The energy sector is of critical importance and depends on these systems functioning even in the event of an attack or breach. An even higher level of preparedness is therefore necessary.

Our responsability within information security

The Swedish Government has appointed the Swedish Energy Agency as the regulatory authority for the energy sector in Sweden. Thus, we are responsible for supervising compliance with the relevant legislation and associated regulations.

Network and information security (NIS)

If you operate within the energy sector in Sweden and provide an essential service, you need to register with the Swedish Energy Agency.

Cyber security in the energy sector

Cyberattacks on the energy sector can have serious consequences. It is therefore essential to strengthen preparedness and raise the overall level of security.
