Confirmation of account details

According to Article 22(1) of the Registry Regulation (2019/1122/EU), all account holders must every year confirm to their national administrator that all information associated to the account(s) is still complete, up-to-date, accurate and true.

The Swedish Energy Agency, in its role as Swedish national administrator under the Registry Regulation, requests that you confirm the accuracy of your registered account information. Please check that all the information you have in the Registry according to the list below is correct.

If the information is correct, you as a representative do not need to do anything further as it will be confirmed by silent agreement. Should the information be incorrect, we ask you to start correcting what is wrong, needs updating or is missing.

Changes must be made no later than 31 December each year. If the information is not updated before 31 December, your access to the account may be blocked until all information is updated.

Contact us by email if there are powers of attorney that should be revoked.

Corrections

If the information is not correct, you must correct it in the Union Registry and/or send it by mail as soon as possible. Corrections must be made no later than 31 December. This is especially important for the compliance, which will be carried out during March-April.

According to the Registry Regulation, an account must have AT LEAST two active account representatives. If the account does not meet this requirement, the Swedish Energy Agency has the right to block the account, which may result in any compliance not being carried out on time. An event that may result in high penalty fees for the account holder.

The following must be verified in the Union Registry

1. Information about the account holder and the account

The information about the account is found under the Account details tab after you have clicked on the account number for the account you want to check in the list of accounts. Authorised representatives on the account can change information about the account.

2. Contact details of the representatives

The contact details of the representatives can be found in the Union Registry under the Representatives tab. Update the information as necessary.

3. User personal data

Your personal data can be found in the Union Registry under your name in the top left of the screen. The information is independent of which account holder(s) you are associated to.

4. That the correct representative is present on all accounts

The number of active representatives must always be at least two. If there are registered representatives on an account who should no longer have access to the account, the representative should be removed. You can do this by clicking the Remove button in the contextual menu in the Representatives tabs in the Union Registry (See the chapter Manage authorised representatives in the user manual for more information).

Please note that the Remove button is only available if the number of representatives is more than two, so a new representative may need to be registered before another can be removed.

If the representative no longer works for the company, any power of attorney should also be revoked at the Swedish Energy Agency. Contact us via email.
