Operators covered by the Act (2020:1173) on certain greenhouse gas emissions and therefore required to report emissions and possibly surrender emission allowances need to open an aircraft operator account in the Union Registry.

The operator is responsible for applying for an account in the Union Registry after a monitoring plan has been approved by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. A copy of the monitoring plan must be attached to the application to the Swedish Energy Agency. The account is free of charge.

Please note!

The two steps, (1) registering in the Union Registry and (2) submitting an application to the Agency, must be completed before the application can be processed. If additional information is needed, the applicant will be notified via email.
