The second call within the Swedish Energy Agency’s support scheme for bio-CCS has opened. A total of SEK 10 billion is available for allocation.

The government has appointed Caroline Asserup as the new Director General of the Swedish Energy Agency. She will assume the position on 15 August, succeeding Robert Andrén, whose term ended on 31 August 2024.

In connection with Stockholm +50 – an international meeting on the environment convened by the UN General Assembly – Sweden signed Memorandums of Understanding with Nepal and the Dominican Republic. The agreements lay the groundwork for climate cooperation between the countries under the terms of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
