Workshop: Electrified long-haul freight transport in the Nordic region

The electrification of heavy road transport is moving fast, but progress looks different from one Nordic country to the next. For cross-border freight to flow smoothly, we need a shared picture of where we stand and of what will be required going forward.

On 29 September, the Swedish Energy Agency invites you to a workshop in Gothenburg as part of the Nordic collaboration ChargeNordic.

The day brings together participants from industry, the public sector and academia to jointly analyse the current situation and future development of electrified long-haul freight transport in the Nordic region.

As a participant, you will:

  • Gain insights from a new Nordic analysis of fleet electrification, transport flows and charging infrastructure
  • explore system data in an interactive visualisation tool
  • contribute your organisation's perspective and compare notes with peers from across the Nordic region
  • help identify bottlenecks, barriers and policy needs.
The outcome will be a consolidated Nordic overview that provides the basis for stronger and more coordinated Nordic action at the European level.

The workshop is aimed at players across the freight transport value chain: transport buyers, hauliers, vehicle manufacturers, charge point operators, grid operators, public authorities and researchers. The day features presentations, interactive sessions, networking and a study visit.
