Open a Regulated entity holding account
Here you will find information on how to apply to open a regulated entity holding account. The account can be opened in the Union registry from 1 June 2026, but you can start the application process from 1 May in the Swedish Energy Agency’s e-service.

Registration in the Union Registry
Submit the application
General documentation requirements
After you have submitted your application
- You have completed the two-step Registration in the Union Registry and Submit the application
- The Swedish Energy Agency will process the application. Provided that the documentation is complete and correct, we will approve your application within 40 days.
- When your application is approved, we will notify you by email and approve the information associated to the application in the Union Registry.
- The Enrolment Key is sent to those representatives who are not already active representatives in the registry. It is sent by registered mail to the address that the representative has specified in the Union Registry. The Enrolment Key is needed to activate the user account in the Union Registry. By entering the Enrolment Key into the Union Registry, you accept the Terms of Use of the Union Registry.
