Ärendesammanfattning:
Syftet med projektet är att ta fram en optimerad framdriftselmaskin för ett elektrifierat fordon. Detta ska ske genom att metodiskt gå igenom material och designaspekter och ta fram en prototyp för att verifiera teoretiska beräkningar. Genom minskade förluster kan elmotorns verkningsgrad förbättras och en minskning av elmotorns förluster med 5 % ger ca 0,5 % ökning av verkningsgraden.

The electrification of vehicles is entering an intensive phase. The suppliers of the OEMs offer PMSMs from their standard assortment, where smaller OEMs have a problem to influence the design. Through various designs it is possible to alter the properties of the electric machines, for instance the efficiency .Even though the electrically magnetized synchronous machine as well as the induction machine appear as propulsion electric machines, the PMSM dominates strongly due to its compactness and high efficiency. The focus in this project is mainly directed towards the PMSM, however, there is also an investigation included about the induction machine. Steel laminations, stator and rotor geometry, magnet types are to be studied within the project. The results are to be quantified using drive cycle analyses as well as through determination of the torque/power density. An experimental prototype is to be built in order to verify the theoretical results.
